Update: 11/02/2022:
Afghanistan Emergency
For almost four decades the people of Afghanistan have endured crisis after crisis. An ongoing war, natural disasters, chronic poverty, and food insecurity have caused widespread suffering. In 2021, the Afghan people were dealt another blow with increasing political instability. Now, Afghanistan is on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe with over 570,482 internally displaced people, 14 million people food insecure and 2 million children malnourished (as of 2021). Life in Afghanistan is precarious for many, particularly for women and children who face an uncertain future.

We’re working closely with our local partners to meet the most critical needs of the country’s most vulnerable – mainly orphans and widows – in the form of clean water, nutritious food, shelter, and access to medicine, healthcare and education.
Our partners have a 20+ year history of serving the Afghan people through long-term health and education initiatives as well as emergency relief efforts.
