Walimah is an Islamic term referring to a marriage banquet or feast. It is a Sunnah (tradition) of the Prophet Muhammad and is usually held after the nikah (wedding ceremony) to celebrate the marriage and share the joy with family, friends, and the community. The purpose of walimah is to announce the marriage and to show gratitude to Allah for His blessings.

Sadaqa Jariya is a form of ongoing charity in Islam that continues to benefit people and earn rewards for the giver even after their death. It involves contributions with lasting impacts, such as building wells, schools, hospitals, mosques, donating educational materials, or planting trees. The rewards for Sadaqa Jariya continue as long as people benefit from these acts.

Sadaq is a term that refers to voluntary charity in Islam. It encompasses any act of giving done out of compassion, love, friendship, or generosity. Unlike Zakat, which is an obligatory form of charity, Sadaqah is not mandatory and can be given at any time, in any amount, and for any good cause. Sadaqah can be in the form of money, food, clothing, or even a kind word or a smile.

Akika (also spelled Aqiqah) is an Islamic tradition that involves the sacrifice of an animal (usually a sheep or goat) to celebrate the birth of a child. This act of sacrifice is performed on the seventh day after the birth of the child, though it can be done later if necessary. The meat from the sacrifice is typically distributed among family, friends, and the poor. Akika is a way of giving thanks to Allah for the blessing of a child and seeking His protection and blessings for the newborn.

Any donation you make over $2 is also tax-deductible as we have endorsement by the Australian Taxation Office as a Deductible Gift Recipient.
